This hand-painted Orthodox miniature icon represents Saint Elizabeth, the mother of the holy Prophet St John the Baptist - celebrated by the Orthodox Church on September 5.

The Orthodox Church commemorates the Righteous Elizabeth, mother of St John the Baptist, on September 5, and together with St Zachariah on June 24. Descended from the lineage of Aaron and sister of St Anna, she lived righteously with her husband, faithfully keeping the commandments of the Lord despite the sorrow of barrenness.
By God’s mercy, Elizabeth conceived and gave birth to a son, naming him John according to divine revelation. Zachariah, whose speech had been taken from him after doubting the angel’s message, regained his voice and prophesied about his son as the Forerunner of the Lord.
During Herod’s persecution, Elizabeth hid with the infant John in the hills, while Zachariah was martyred in the Temple. Elizabeth reposed shortly after, and St John, preserved by God, later appeared to prepare the way for Christ.

O icoană mică, pentru un suflețel mic. A împodobit minunat lumânarea de botez. Multumim!

O experienta foarte placuta, ma bucur mult ca v-am gasit! Realizati ceva unic, sunt foarte bucurosa sa am in casa asa o icoana pictata de mana intr-un stil autentic romanesc. E foarte frumoasa, culorile sunt foarte frumoase, cel mai frumos cadou pe care i-l puteam face fetitei mele Eliza. Voi reveni in viitor pentru comenzi cu Maica Domnului pentru fetita mea cea mare, Maria si pentru mine cu Sf. Cuvioasa Teodora de la Sihla. Va multumesc, sunteti unici in universul online! Doamne-ajuta!

Multumesc Naivia pentru cadoul perfect! Experienta este una extrem de placuta inca de dinainte de a vedea produsul in realitate: site-ul facut cu stil, comunicarea si profesionalismul naivia, produsul finit: totul o incantare! Ma bucur ca am ales aceasta iconita drept cadou de botez, a ajuns la destinatia finala iar feedback-ul nu poate sa fie altul decat: “Uau, e superba!”. Speram sa aduca numai bucurii bebelasei si odata sfintita iconita, sa o protejeze de-a lungul vietii. Multumesc tare, tare mult!
