Two pieces of wood, two saints: one icon. Saints Archangels Michael and Gabriel (feast day: November 8th), united in one thought, which is the love of God.

On November 8, the Holy Archangels Michael and Gabriel are commemorated, together with the assembly of all the heavenly hosts. Thus, the day of November 8 is dedicated to all the bodiless powers.
Saint Archangel Michael is one of the most venerated among the Angels and the company of the bodiless powers; he is called the Archistrategos, or Great Commander, the leader of the heavenly hosts. According to Holy Scripture and Tradition, he has often interceded for humankind and continues to be the Defender of the Faith. Saint Archangel Michael is most frequently invoked for the protection of the country against enemy invasions and civil war, as well as for the granting of victory over foes on the battlefield.
Saint Archangel Gabriel has likewise been called a commander of the heavenly armies; his name is associated with many events in Holy Scripture, and especially with the announcement to the Mother of God of the conception of our Lord Jesus Christ. Thus, his most important role has been regarded as that of the herald of humanity’s salvation.

Culori vii, tinereşti, multă grijă la detalii şi ingeniozitate din partea artistului. Bravo. A ieşit ceva minunat.
Foarte frumos lucrat
Nu sunt un cunoscator dar am cumparat acest diptic pentru sotia mea. Este pasionata de arta, in special cea iconografica, si s-a bucurat foarte mult de acest cadou.
