Ana Drăgan
This hand-painted Orthodox icon on wood by Ana Drăgan represents the Mother of God, as the protector of the family.
The Mother of God is the protector of families; she watches over children, mothers, and virgins.
When you love, the other is yourself. For this is what friendship means: the one who loves and the one who is loved are no longer two separate persons, but in a way a single being - something that could never happen except through love. And the love of marriage is something that surpasses any wealth, for nothing apart from the heavenly blessings is more precious than to be loved by your wife and to love her in return.
– Saint John Chrysostom
Please note: The 20x26 cm version has different details compared to the 30x40 cm version, differences that can be seen in the presentation photos. The text at the bottom of the icon is truncated in the 20x26 cm version to fit the available space.
