Made by
Ana Drăgan
This hand-painted Orthodox icon by Ana Drăgan illustrates Saint Helena the Empress (May 21) and Saint Apostle Andrew (November 30), side by side, united in a diptych.
Celebrated on May 21 along with her son, Saint Helena is known and venerated for the discovery of the Holy Cross on the hill of Golgotha, as well as for the construction of numerous churches in Palestine, Cyprus, and the West.
The holy, glorious and all-laudable Apostle Andrew the First-Called was the first of the apostles of Jesus Christ and the brother of the Apostle Peter. His great missionary legacy led him to become the patron saint of several countries, including Romania and Scotland. His feast day is November 30.

Minunata realizare
